This blog gives a look into the eternal sunshine of my ever roving mind. I consider myself a social critic. I believe in Film, Music, Theatre, Musical Theatre, Gay Rights, the Right to Choose, Human Rights and YES I still believe in Barack Obama. I believe in most things left of center. I don't get any organized religion. They are all a sham. This is the gay pride flag. I am proudly gay. These are the things this blog is about. Love it, like it or leave it. We all have choices.

Happy Birthday Madeline Kahn 9/29
She stole the show, well almost, from the funny lady herself Barbra Streisand in 'What's Up Doc?'.
A laugh riot with the late Peter Boyle in 'Young Frankenstein'.
So great in Blazing Saddles doing a brilliant takeoff of Marlene Dietrich.
A real funny lady who just passed too too young.

R.I.P. Paul Newman
Today Hollywood lost one of the BEST.
Paul Newman was not just a great actor but a great man. He did more for charities than most. He used his name wisely.
He will be sorely missed.
Probably my favorite Paul Newman movie is 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' with the equally amazing Robert Redford and Katherine Ross.
With Wife Joanne Woodward
With Elizabeth Taylor in 'Cat On a Hot Tin Roof'

Number 6: 'All About Eve'
The Late Great Bette Davis
Oscar Winner in 1950. Picture, Director, Supporting Actor: George Sanders, Screenplay and Costume Design. WHAT? No Best Actress for Bette Davis. Nope. The wonderful Judy Holliday won that year for 'Born Yesterday'. Bette was robbed. Here's what happened. Anne Baxter (Eve) demanded the studio push her for Best Actress because she was the TITLE character. So they did. Hence Baxter and Bette, (Margo Channing) were up against each other and just cancelled each other out. Fools! The studio heads and Baxter not Davis. This is probably Bette's best performance ever...EVER!.
Now there are those who will argue that Gloria Swanson should have won for 'Sunset Boulevard'. Don't argue. You are wrong! LOL. Well truth is she should have won over Holliday but not over Davis.
'All About Eve' is the wittiest script ever written, directed and acted by EVERYONE in it. Period!
I give you 'All About Eve'
The Greatest Party Scene Ever Filmed!
