This blog gives a look into the eternal sunshine of my ever roving mind. I consider myself a social critic. I believe in Film, Music, Theatre, Musical Theatre, Gay Rights, the Right to Choose, Human Rights and YES I still believe in Barack Obama. I believe in most things left of center. I don't get any organized religion. They are all a sham. This is the gay pride flag. I am proudly gay. These are the things this blog is about. Love it, like it or leave it. We all have choices.

Off Season TV Scorecard: Spring
the summer tv series have begun...so it's time to look back at the spring season. needless to say if i watched them i liked them as only one of them, spartacus, was a first year series. so here goes.
season 4 of 'the tudors' ended on a high note. and the series finale was one of the best ever.
season 4: A
series average: A-
series finale: A+
'spartacus' was the only new series i watched and the best of the lot.
first season: A
season finale: A+
'nurse jackie' suffered a slight letdown.
season 2: B
'law and order, criminal intent: i always liked it but the total cast changes gave it a tremendous rebirth.
season 9: A
'in plain sight' saw some minor cast departures, a couple of regulars become recurring, and some behind the scene changes all amounting to a not so needed yet surprisingly intuitive revitalization.
season 3: A

Wed, Bed, Behead: A Fond Farewell to 'The Tudors'
wed, bed, behead...well not all of them...but there was a lot of beheading and more...there was drama, love, romance, blood and guts and conniving and intrique. oh those tudors...tonight we say fare thee well to one of tv's best limited series and certainly showtimes best ever.
a great cast headed by jonathan rhys meyers brought history to life. he excelled as henry VIII king of england from 6/24/1509 to his death on 1/28/1547.
special kudos to maria doyle kennedy (katherine of aragon), natalie dormer (anne boleyn), joely richardson (catherine parr), jeremy northam (sir thomas moore), sarah bolger (princess mary tudor), james frain (thomas cromwell), anthony brophy (ambassador eustace chapuys) and last but never least henry cavill (charles brandon 1st duke of suffolk).
showtime will next visit 'the borgias' in 2011 starring jeremey irons as the cunning rodrigo borgia.
i can't wait for lucretia's antics and ring of poison.
