Broadway Stars Prepare to Welcome Presidents Obama and Clinton

NEW YORK (AP) — President Barack Obama heads to Broadway next month as part of a double bill with former President Bill Clinton — and the stars will be out to welcome them.
James Earl Jones, Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, Mandy Patinkin, Nina Arianda, Kerry Butler, Norbert Leo Butz, Bobby Cannavale, Stockard Channing, Megan Hilty and Cheyenne Jackson are some of the performers slated to attend the June 4 fundraiser.

"Barack on Broadway" is one of two events that day that will join Obama and Clinton. The two presidents will also attend a dinner featuring a performance by Jon Bon Jovi.

The fund-raiser will be at the New Amsterdam Theatre, the home of "Mary Poppins" and will be directed by George C. Wolfe.

Grey's Anatomy Killer Finale

killer as in they killed lexie. killer as in they killed one of the best as in most likable characters on the show. yup they killed quirky little grey. time to say farewell to actress chyler leigh. damn shodra rhymes creator and writer of this now just about well worn series. the awful, mean, nasty, god complexed christina lives. not only lives but probably becomes head cardio goddess now that the wonderful though underused kim raver is also departing the show.

r.i.p. lexie grey. you will be missed. now i have the summer to ponder my return to seattle grace come fall. i am pissed!

Kirsten Dunst Gets Her Moment In 'On The Road'

i love kirsten dunst. she has moved onto my favorite actress column slowly, steadily but surely. she should have won best actress for 'melancholia'. frack she should have at least been nominated. here she is in a clip from the forthcoming, probably year end, 'on the road'.

'Smash': Raza Jaffrey, Jaime Cepero, Brian d'Arcy James and Will Chase Out

so it is dev the unfaithful boyfriend of karen, michael the back and forth lover of julia and also the back and forth joe demaggio, and james husband of julia that are all dropped from season 2 of 'smash'. o yeah and best of all the hateful ellis is also gone. under a truck or to prison one could only hope.

will these changes make for a better season 2? well all of julia's baggage is gone so now she can concentrate on writing better songs for 'bombshell'. actually the 11 o'clock song that closed season 1, 'don't forget me' was brilliant. the hateful ellis often made the show unwatchable so good riddance to the most hated character on the tub this past season. i kind of liked dev even though he cheated on karen with ivy and well like this is basically a prime time soap. duh.

we'll see. we'll see.

Winding Down

my original guilty pleasure is about to say goodbye. 'gossip girl' will return in the fall in what looks to be an 11 episode final season. as unhappy as i may be to see it go i must admit that it has lost it's edge the past two seasons. but...it gave us blake lively who has proven herself here and on the big screen. choose wisely blake. take great care with your film choices. you have the chops. tread gently. think winslet and take on roles that develop your skills. you are on the right path. don't let greedy agents steer your wrong. i am rooting for you.

Also an Idiot
