This blog gives a look into the eternal sunshine of my ever roving mind. I consider myself a social critic. I believe in Film, Music, Theatre, Musical Theatre, Gay Rights, the Right to Choose, Human Rights and YES I still believe in Barack Obama. I believe in most things left of center. I don't get any organized religion. They are all a sham. This is the gay pride flag. I am proudly gay. These are the things this blog is about. Love it, like it or leave it. We all have choices.

Julie Christie Eye's Role in 'Girl With the Red Riding Hood'
Screen legends Julie Christie and Gary Oldman are reportedly in talks to join 'The Girl With the Red Riding Hood,' Heat Vision is reporting.
Amanda Seyfried ('Dear John,' 'Letters to Juliet') stars in the "gothic horror reimagining of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale," about a medieval woman who is terrorized by a werewolf. Shiloh Fernandez and Max Irons co-star as Seyfried's character's lover and fiance, respectively.
If cast, Christie would play Seyfried's grandmother who, according to the report, has a knack for knitting. Oldman would play Father Soloman, whose sole task is to find and kill the werewolf.
'Twilight's' Catherine Hardwicke directs.
The film would mark a major role for Christie, who has kept a relatively low profile since earning a Best Actress Oscar nomination for the 2006 film 'Away From Her.' Meanwhile, Oldman, who will appear in next summer's 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II,' has appeared in a number of projects in recent years, including 'The Book of Eli' and 'The Dark Knight.'

Amazing Photos from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull Volcano
As ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano continued to keep European airspace shut down over the weekend, affecting millions of travelers around the world, some government agencies and airlines clashed over the flight bans. Some restricted airspace is now beginning to open up and some limited flights are being allowed now as airlines are pushing for the ability to judge safety conditions for themselves. The volcano continues to rumble and hurl ash skyward, if at a slightly diminished rate now, as the dispersing ash plume has dropped closer to the ground, and the World Health Organization has issued a health warning to Europeans with respiratory conditions. Collected here are some images from Iceland over the past few days.

'McCabe and Mrs. Miller' and 'Nashville'
the robert altman classic 'mccabe and mrs.miller reunited julie and her former lover warren beatty. julie really stretched here playing an opium addicted madam in a small mining town. she received an academy award nomination for her 'mrs. miller'. she lost to jane fonda for 'klute'. a tough call really.
but the film is altman's all the way. along with 'nashville' they are classics. julie had a funny cameo in 'nashville' playing... well playing julie christie.

'Don't Look Now'
this may be the most underrated of the best of julie christie films. it boasts two brilliant performances by julie and donald sutherland. it also has the most beautiful love scene ever filmed between christie and sutherland. some say they were not acting including julie's lover at the time warren beatty. he tried to force director nicholas roeg to cut the scene from the final print.
what makes this scene all the more beautiful is that it's played in reverse. you'll have to see it to understand it. 'john's theme' played behind the scene is one of the most beautiful pieces of scoring written for a film by pino donaggio.
