Spring TV Season in Review Part 3: 'Royal Pains'

after a miserable season 3 'royal pains' is back with an improved season 4. sadly jill flint is no longer a hamptons resident. as much as i liked ms flint it is a wise decision. the on again/off again romance between her character and lead character hank was getting to be a chore for viewers. i hope she shows up again on 'the good wife' as kalind's on again/off again one or more night's stand.

season 4 gets a B for now. we'll see.

'Royal Pains': Second Season Score Card: A

 'royal pains' rates an A with it's season finale. it lost it's A status awile back with the casting of anastasia griifith as emily peck who we were spared from in the seasonal finale but was talked about. so is she gone? we'll see. 

but all of the following lead to it's regaining it's A status.

the season finale brought christine ebersole back and that's worth a thousand points.

brooke d'orsay as evans gf seems to be becoming recurring. worth at least 750 points.

and then surprise surprise in walks the wonderful, talented and beautiful rena sofer. it looks like she could be recurring. worth 1500 points. she is always welcome into my living room. nonono i have not switched. i'm still happily and proudly gay.

the four series regulars mark feuerstein,  paolo costanzo, jill flint and reshma shetty continue to brighten a summer night.

'Royal Pains' Slips Down to a B

i had given 'royal pains' an A a few blogs ago. but they have added a new character, dr. emily peck, portrayed by a god-awful actress named anastasia griffith. her acting and her story line are bringing down this show. her acting barely worked on 'damages' but is anne hathaway worthy here. get her the hell out of the hamptons now!
