Glee's Whole Cast Returning, Chord Overstreet Possibly Becoming a Regular
Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy told Vulture of his fifteen series regulars, "They're all coming back. Anyone who is a regular is coming back. Everyone said yes." Now that news is being corroborated by several sources, with the additional info that Chord Overstreet, who appeared in season two, left, and returned for part of season three, will be back and may become a regular. "Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are among those likely to be in most if not all episodes," according to Deadline, whileThe Hollywood Reporter writes, "Michele, Monteith and [Chris] Colfer are poised to return as series regulars."
A confusing portion of the casting confirmation lies in the fact that regular and recurring actors may not necessarily see more or less episodes depending on their statuses. Along those lines, Murphy originally said to us, "It doesn't mean everyone will be doing 22 episodes, but everyone wants to stay in our family and our world." He added, "I wanted to make sure those actors know that if they want to have a home, they have a home. If they want to explore new and different things while also having a home, that is also an option."
Start placing bets on which cast members square off with already announced guest stars Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, and American Idol's Jessica Sanchez ... and on who mysteriously drops out of stories while exploring their Murphy-blessed, Glee-less freedom.
