Natalie '63: 'Love With the Proper Stranger'

The Oscar nominees were Shirley McClaine (Irma La Duce), Leslie Caron (The L-Shaped Room), Rachel Roberts (This Sporting Life), Natalie and Patricia Neal for a truly supporting twenty-five minute performance for 'Hud'. The supporting role won. What were they thinking? Well they were thinking Natalie is always good and as usual they could take her for granted. This was Natalie's year in an important film that showed the need for a woman's right to choose. It also was a quirky love story where Nat and Steve McQueen shined. It was probably his finest role also.
Unfortunately, it would also be her final chance for the prize. She was out and out cheated. The Oscars had gotten it wrong before and certainly would again. But in 1963 they were truly wrong...wrong, wrong, wrong!!!

Moron of the Week: Sarah Palin

Extra Extra Palin's 17 Year Old Daughter Pregnant. So Much For Conservative Values And Not Teaching Birth Control.

How did she think this would not come out. Look I don't condemn the girl but the mother who isn't watching her kids. But more than anything I condemn the tunnel vision of a party that only wants abstinence ONLY taught. Republican teenagers have the same damn raging hormones ad Democrat's kids. DUH!!!

Maybe this woman should stay home and watch her 5 kids instead of running about Alaska and now the continental United States running for an office she's not qualified for.

Or is the real moron McCain who either didn't vet well enough or thought this might now have an effect. IDIOT!

The repubs say they released this info because liberal bloggers were spreading rumors. WHAT? They needed liberal rumors to get them to practice full disclosure? DUH!

First the rain on their convention campaign and now this. Maybe these nuts who think they own Jesus should listen up. Maybe Jesus is REALLY sending them a message.

Oh I know...it doesn't matter because John McLame was in a POW camp for 5 years! I mean that is the answer to everything isn't it. It certainly was the excuse for his adultry and eleven houses. OY VAY!!!

To Honor The RNC Convention

Last week I gave the Democrats their due. Now it's the Republicans turn.

First up I honor the Moron-in Chief.

I honor the administration from hell.

I honor the idea of reincarnation as Adolph was reborn on July 6, 1946 sixty three years later.

I honor the spawn of Satan.

If only he had honored the American people.

If only he had honored the constitution.

If only he were smart enough to know an oath is an oath.

If only he were smart at all.

Does Jesus Take Sides?

For about a week some wacko reverend and his flock went to the stadium in Denver and prayed for rain on Barack's big night. That night had gorgeous weather.
This week the rnc convention is being disrupted by weather.

HEY REV YOU THINK MAYBE JESUS IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING???

Fall Films 2: December 12th: Doubt

From 'Mamma Mia' to 'Doubt' in the same year. This is truly an amazing feat. It shows how versatile Meryl Streep is...still!

Happy Birthday 8/31 Richard Gere

In one of my favorite 2002 films with Diane Lane, 'Unfaithful'.

With the brilliant Debra Winger in 'An Officer and a Gentleman'

Happy Birthday 8/30

Today would have been Oscar and Tony Winner, for 'Come Back Little Sheba' Shirley Booth's Birthday.
She also had a TV show 'Hazel' that had a well played run.
